The Basement

For this project, I wanted to make some kind of basement environment where someone had made themselves at home after unknown circumstances. It started as a computer room, and I later added an additional storage room and hallway when creating the blockout in Unreal Engine.

After the blockout was done, I started with the lighting and getting the mood right before adding any props. The props were later created in Blender, and once I had a few assets done, I started set dressing and replacing the blockout to build the scene and adding more props as I went.

I started with the walls and bigger modular props like the pipes, then filled in the empty spaces and figured out what props were needed next. The props were then textured in Substance 3D Painter, and a few tiling materials were created in Substance Designer.
